Hug London
Inspired by Israel’s Mai Segev I wish to begin something I really think London needs. One Saturday afternoon each month, I want to get a bunch of friendly, loving people together to stand in a busy retail district of London’s centre to simply offer passers by a hug. It could be quick hug, warm hug, tight hug or long hug but always free, with peace and love. At first the group is unlikely to get many taking up the offer, but with time it will be a familiar fixture on the street, more trustworthy and more huggable. Huggers will be provided with a hugging t-shirt that has Soul Scene’s web address printed on. The site will have a new section about the hug initiative, a hug count, photos and hugged people’s messages. Share a little warmth, e-mail and get involved.
